The President of the King’s Bench Division on the subject of judicial independence in the modern age: past, present and future.
The Rt Hon Dame Victoria Sharp DBE was Presiding Judge of the Western Circuit from 2012 to 2013 and was appointed a Lady Justice of Appeal in 2013, and Vice President of the Queen’s Bench Division in 2016.
She was sworn in as the President of the King’s Bench Division in 2019, the first woman to hold the position.
